PURPOSE:To improve the size accuracy of the whole scintillator block by arraying scintillator elements and light reflecting plates alternately, fixing them in one body by impregnation with a resin adhesive, and working its outward shape. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting plates 3 are adhered to the scintillator elements 1 of respective channels with the resin adhesive 4 such as transparent epoxy resin to constitute the multichannel scintillator block II. This block II is assembled by arraying the scintillators 1 formed by cutting a scintillator-lead glass plate formed by sticking plate type scintillator 1 and lead glass 2 thin and the reflecting plates 3 alternately by as many as necessary channels and fixed temporarily by using a pressure frame not to move. In this state, the resin adhesive 4 is impregnated into gaps between the scintillators 1 and reflecting plates 3 by a vacuum impregnating method. The top and reverse surfaces of this block II are ground by a grinding machine to prescribed outward shape size. The polished surfaces of the block II and a photoelectric converting element group 5 are positioned and adhered with an adhesive.
