PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic capable of preventing skin form ultraviolet light and providing natural finish, having excellent feeling in use and improved stability with time, by blending a dispersion of titanium oxide fine particles having specific particle size distribution with a water-soluble polymer. CONSTITUTION:(A) A dispersion of titanium oxide fine particles which has a mode diameter (diameter of a large number of particles) in 40-80mmu, >=50% relative frequency (existing ratio) of the particles in the range based on sum of particles and <10% relative frequency of particles having <40mmu based on the sum of the particles in water and/or a polyhydric alcohol is blended with (B) a water-soluble polymer such as xanthan gum, CMC-Na or sodium polyacrylate in the ratio of 0.001-30.0wt.%, preferably 0.05-20.0wt.% (calculated as titanium oxide) component A and 0.01-5.0wt.%, preferably 0.1-1.0wt.% component B. |
