PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound suppressing the side reactions without largely lowering the catalytic activity, by using an acetylacetone complex of a specific metal as a catalyst and reacting a lower alkyl (meth)acrylate with a dialkylamino alcohol, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula III can be produced by reacting (A) a compound of formula I (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is 1-4C alkyl) with (B) a dialkylamino alcohol or dialkylaminoalkylene amine of formula II (R3 and R4 are 1-4C alcohol residue; A is 2-4C alkylene; X is O or NH) in the presence of (C) a catalyst consisting of an acetylacetone complex of a metal selected from Al, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Mo, Pd, In, Pt, Ag and Sn (especially preferably Mn, Cu or Zn) at 25-150 deg.C, preferably 25-130 deg.C. The amount of the catalyst is 0.003-10mol.%, preferably 0.03-3mol.% based on the compound of formula II. |
