PURPOSE:To prevent scattering of toner stuck to a cleaning brush by using a cylindrical sheet consisting of materials which have a rigidity for the load in the axial direction and rolling this sheet around the brush to approximately closely bring the sheet into contact with the brush at the time of attaching and detaching the brush. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 for attachment and detachment consists of thin flexible materials like a polyethylene terephthalate resin which have a certain high rigidity in the axial direction when formed to a cylinder. When the cleaning brush is inserted to a printer, the sheet 1 for attachment and detachment is preliminarily fitted around the cleaning brush and is rolled to be approximately closely brought into contact with the cleaning brush, and the sheet 1 is inserted to the printer in this rolled state and is pulled out. When the cleaning brush is detached from the printer, the sheet 1 is fitted to the cleaning brush to cover it, and the cleaning brush is pulled out from the printer together with the sheet 1. Thus, scattering of toner stuck to the brush is prevented at the time of replacing the cleaning brush. |
