<p>The purpose of the braking mechanism is to impede the recoil of load-conveyor wagons, as used on two-rail circular tow conveyor layouts, against obstacles, or one against another. For this purpose there are roller return locking devices (4) mounted inside the running rollers (8), and these engage the running-gear axle (1), on which a spherical roller bearing (3) is seated, retained in place by a securing ring (2). Together with te roller bearing and two radial sealing units (5, 6), the roller return locking devices are firmly held in the running rollers by means of a pair of securing ring (7). The braking device, fitted directly on the running wheels of the conveyor, automatically checks any unwanted recoil, and prevents swinging to and fro.</p> |
