PURPOSE:To rationalize the drive system layout by employing a rear front axle having the kickdown shape while setting a retarder coupled through the propeller shaft to the final decellerator for the rear axle in the upper front space of the rear front axle. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent the interference with the propeller shaft 11, the axle 16 for the rear front axle 5 is formed into the kickdown shape having the recessed central portion. A retarder is secured through a bracket 9 to the chassis frames 8 at both sides in front of the rear front axle 5. The input shaft of said retarder 10 and the front end output shaft of the final decelerator 3 are coupled through the propeller shaft 11. Since the axle 6 is formed into the kickdown shape, the interference between the propeller shaft 11 and the axle 6 can be prevented even when the fixing position of the retarder 10 is lowered. |
