The spring-biased trouser holder has a base member consisting of a straight rod (11) on which can slide two tension members (14, 14') pushed outwards by a spring (15) between them. One end of the rod (11) is angled upwards and inwards (12) to form the hook holder (13) which is located above the middle of the straight rod (11). The two tension members (14) are each made from a tubular guide member (16) of plastics with tension projections (17) arranged in pairs. The two tension members (14) are preferably placed with their tubular guides (16) on the straight rod section (11) with the helical compression spring (15) similarly inserted on the rod (11) between the two said members (14).
