Method of equipping an overhead-line conductor for a high-voltage overhead line with an emission coefficient of greater than 0.6, preferably greater than 0.9, the overhead-line conductor being provided with a black surface layer. For the purpose of manufacturing the surface layer, preferably from a plastic, the factory-produced overhead-line conductor is guided continuously through a combustion zone with an oxidising atmosphere of a temperature of above 100@C and below 150@C which is formed by gas burners. The overhead-line conductor is guided through an electrically heated heating pipe and, as far as the outermost wire layer is concerned, kept at a temperature of 60 to 100@C, preferably of about 80@C. Subsequently, the overhead-line conductor is guided, with the stated temperature of the outermost wire layer, past paint spray guns which spray the circumference of the overhead-line conductor adequately uniformly. With the aid of the spray gun, a solution of the plastic provided with black colour pigment is sprayed on. The solvent is made to evaporate and is drawn off. The coated overhead-line conductor is subsequently guided through a dryer and completely dried in this with heated air.
|
