PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting ceramic having high critical temp., high stability, inexpensiveness, and improved reliability by compressing, molding, and calcining a mixture consisting of Sc, Yb, Y, Ba, Cu, etc., mixed in a speci fied compositional ratio. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is produced by mixing each powder of Sc2O3, Yb2O3, Y2O3, BaCO3, and CuO wherein each compositional ratio of Sc, Yb, Y, Ba, Cu, and O is regulated by (Sc+Yb+Y)=1; Ba=1.5-2.5; Cu=2.5-4; O=6.5-7.0; Sc=0.1-0.5; Yb=0.1-0.5; Y=0.3-0.8. The mixture is precalcined at ca. 900 deg.C and crushed, and obtd. crushed product is compressed to obtain a green compact. The green compact is then calcined finally at 930-1,000 deg.C and cooled slowly thereafter. Thus a superconducting ceramic is obtd. |
