An arrangement for diverting cropped ends of a rolled bar behind rotating shears 1 from a channel 7 without any deflection of the rolled bar 5 itself consists in the base of the channel 7, which is open at the bottom, being formed from a separate elongated baseplate 8 which has a control edge 8a and can be set in a wobbling movement by two out-of-phase displacing drives, e.g. cranks 15, 16, with respect to the timing of cropping cuts of the shears. The wobbling movement keeps the channel 7 closed in conjunction with the configuration of the control edge 8a and in a leading or lagging manner opens the channel for the free fall of the front or rear cropped end. The displacing drives 15, 16 are taken from the drive of the rotating shears 1 via reduction gearing 21 and an articulated spindle 20 so that the sequence of movement of the baseplate 8 is synchronised with the angular velocity of the cutter shafts of shears starting from a standing position. The displacing drives are disengaged and locked by a clutch when the shears perform partial cuts. <IMAGE> |
