PURPOSE:To enhance potential acceptance and potential stability of a photosensitive body in the dark, and its sensitivity and durability by incorporating a specified polymer type hydrazone compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains the polymer type hydrazone compound (A) having at least one monomer unit represented by formula I in which R is alkyl, aryl, or the like; R' is alkyl, phenyl, or the like; and X is H, alkyl, or the like. This compound A can be prepared by synthesizing the monomer and polymerizing it in the presence of a desired catalyst, or synthesizing halomethylated polystyrene in advance and reacting the hydrazone compound with it. The photosensitive layer can be composed of a carrier generating layer containing, e.g., a bisazo pigment, and a carrier transfer layer obtained by coating with a solution of fluid dispersion containing the component A and a chemical sensitizer to be added when needed, or the like. |
