A washing-up brush or sponge includes a hollow handgrip and a front mounted, controlled dosage nozzle. The front section of a tubular handle has a sloping part to accommodate the dosage nozzle. A brush holder includes a polypropylene hollow handle (1) and an aperture (4) to accommodate a dosage nozzle. The holder includes a suspension hook (10). After filling the appliance with washing up liquid the required level is observed through a window (21). A push button on the nozzle head is pressed in to give precise drop control.
