<p>The vertical blind slat consists of an oblong flexible slat portion (2) made of cloth material, a detachable hanging unit (3) and a weight block (4). The flexible slat of definite length is cut from an endless belt in manufacture without any additional stitching. The hanging unit and weight block are detachably and readily attached to the top and bottom ends by means of clamping jaws (311). A pair of convex half spheres are disposed on the wall (311) of the hanging unit so that the pressure exerted by fingers on the spheres can force the jaws at the bottom side open and the top end (2) of the slat portion can be inserted. The weight block is similarly constructed, with walls (41) having convex half spheres (411) to control jaws which clamp the weight on the bottom edge of the slat.</p> |
