Injection-moulding of microcellular low-density parts

The process, for use in making floats, wheels, fenders for nautical use, shoe soles, etc., consists of (a) heating the material and injecting it into a mould; and (b) shock cooling applied at the right moment after demoulding to stop contraction of the parts as they cool down.
