In known telephone pivot arms, the horizontal adjustment of the telephone carrier plate is achieved by means of scissor arms or telescopic arms (design-related small adjustment path), but also by single or double parallelogram guide pairs, the telephone carrier plate undergoing an additional height adjustment (adjustment path limited by a weight-counterbalancing spring). The new pivot arm is intended to allow an extensive adjustment path while maintaining a constant height. By holding a parallelogram guide pair which is articulated so that it can be pivoted on the desktop and a similar guide pair articulated on the telephone carrier plate by means of a segmental cogwheel in a position symmetrical in relation to one another and to the mechanism housing which connects them, the telephone carrier plate can be adjusted horizontally over an extensive area. The telephone carrier plate has a high carrying capacity due to the forced horizontal movement (without a weight-counterbalancing spring). |
