The wash bench Fig. 1 has a bench top that can be adjusted in the vertical plane and constitutes an aid for bathing and showering of hospital patients and in bathing and hygiene routines for handicapped and disabled patients. The wash bench is preferably used in establishments for rehabilitation and aftercare. A characteristic feature of the invention is that the bench top can be raised and lowered and also inclined in the longitudinal direction for controlled and effective draining of the bath water. Other features are that the front edge can be lowered as the patient is moved onto and off the wash bench and that the bench is provided with an upper collapsible cover which means that there is as little splashing as possible of the surrounding surfaces and of the assistants. <IMAGE> |
