The stand has a base (8) supporting a series of telescopic column sections (3...6) which are extended and retracted to raise and lower the camera at different rates. The lowermost column section (3) is driven by an electric motor (9) via a threaded spindle (25), housed with the motor within the base each subsequent column section (4...6) being driven via a carbon fibre drive band (15). Each drive band links three successive column sections together, with points of attachment for the outermost (4) and innermost section (6) and passing around the walls of the central column section (5). Pref. each column section comprises a profile sleeve with a given cross-section, sized to slide one within the other. USE - Smooth raising and lowering of camera at varying rates. |
