<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a faithful regenerated image reduced in a quantizing error by performing arbitrary gamma correction from the outside with respect to an inputted image signal and performing the conversion of gradation corresponding to the gamma correction. CONSTITUTION:The electric signal from a CCD 2 is inputted to a preprocess 3 and outputted as an analogue signal Vin being an image signal to be applied to the analogue signal input terminal 50 of analogue/digital converter 40. By selecting an arbitrary gamma characteristic from a keyboard 41, an MPU 42 changes over an address so as to read the data of said gamma characteristic and linear characteristic from a ROM 43 and, further, in order to determine the reference voltage VRM given to the linear correction terminal 55 of the analogue/digital converter 40, gamma correction reduced in a quantizing error can be performed and a digital signal 45 subjected to gamma correction is converted to an analogue signal 46 by a digital/analogue converter 10. This analogue signal 46 is converted to a predetermined image signal by a post- process 12 to be inputted to a monitor 13 as a CRT and an object can be faithfully regenerated in a high quantizing accuracy state.</p> |
