<p>PURPOSE:To permit the speedy lighting-up by lighting up a lamp by a hot cathode lighting-up circuit by preheating the hot cathode of the neon lamp in the ordinary use and lighting up the lamp by applying a high voltage between the electrodes of the lamp in the emergent use, in the constitution in which the neon discharge lamp is used. CONSTITUTION:A neon discharge lamp 1 is equipped with an anode 3 for cold cathode discharge in the emergent lighting-up such as in the turning OFF of an ignition switch or the case immediately after the start of use, and said anode 3 is connected with a lead wire 4 at the edge of a hot cathode 2. Two circuits 11a and 11b for heating the hot cathode 2 are provided, and connected with a lighting-up circuit 10 and a preheating circuit 11. Further, these circuits 11a and 11b are opened and closed at the same time by a switch SW2 which is closed when a key switch is at a 'start' or 'ON' position. The lighting-up circuit 10 uses a high frequency inverter in sine wave having a frequency of about 30kHz., and operation is controlled by a switch SW1 interlocked with a brake pedal.</p> |
