The photographic cassette for the handling and exposure of a light-sensitive sheet, particularly in a large camera, has a flat housing (31) with opening (32) on one side controlled by an exposure slide (33), the latter also allowing passage of the sheet when loading and unloading the cassette. A support face (53) bears against the rear sheet surface, while holders (56,57) securing the sheet edges are movable out of its path by an actuator (81) operated from outside. The support face is on a spring-loaded pressure plate thrust towards the opening so as to clamp the sheet against the holders. The actuator has a control member forcing the plate back against spring action, so as to leave a gap between it and the holders.
