PURPOSE:To decrease working speed, and to increase torque by fixing a stator to a housing at a radial position within the pressure contact section of the stator and a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A housing 21 for an ultrasonic motor is composed of external housings 21a-21b and a housing base 21c held by the housings 21a-21b. A shaft 22 is supported pivotally at the central section of the housing base 21c by bearings 23a-23c, and a part is fixed integrally onto the outer circumference of a surface on the housing base 21c side as a first stator 30a generating surface progressive waves. A first rotor 40a oppositely pressure-welded to an annular pressure-welding section 31a on the outer circumference of an elastic body 31a for the first stator 30a is engaged with the shaft 22 through a rubber vibration insulator 42a and a tabular elastic body 43a. Likewise, a second stator 30b is mounted, and a second rotor 40b is interlinked with the shaft 22. Accordingly, a section in the housing 21 fixing the stators 30 can be ret at a radial position within the pressure contact sections of the stators 30 and the rotors 40. |
