PURPOSE:To treat cancer by the irradiation with beam by accurately irradiating a cancerous cell with amplified phase conjugated beam having the same wavelength as the fluorescence generated from the cancerous cell. CONSTITUTION:An HpD phosphate buffer solution is partially administered to the affected part 10 of the skin cancer of a rat and the cancerous cell of the affected part 10 is irradiated with ultraviolet die laser from a laser apparatus 8 through an optical fiber 9. The emitted fluorescence (wavelength; 630nm) is allowed to be incident to a phase conjugated beam generator from the optical fiber 9 through a dichroic mirror. The phase conjugated beam generator consists of a phase conjugating mirror 1 composed of a non-linear optical material, a laser apparatus 2 for sending pumping beam to the phase conjugating mirror 1, an amplifying part 3 for amplifying beam and a filter 4 for cutting beam having a wavelength other than 630nm. A die laser of a wavelength of 630nm is used in the laser apparatus and the beam incident to the phase conjugated beam generator is converted to phase conjugated beam by the laser apparatus 2 and the phase conjugating mirror 1. This beam is allowed to irradiate the cancerous cell of the cancer affected part 10 through the optical fiber 9. |
