A base for reflection-photographic elements is disclosed which has a biaxially stretched film support, said film comprising polyester resin and titanium dioxide, wherein said film contains at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I) or (II). <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a dialkylamino group or an aryl group, provided that R1, R2, R3 and R4 may cooperate to form a ring. <IMAGE> (II) wherein A represents -CH=CH-, <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> and R6, R7, R8 and R9 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a dialkylamino group or an aryl group, provided that R6 and R7, and R8 and R9 each may cooperate to form a ring.
