The novel dichlorocyclopropylalkyl-hydroxyalkyl-azole derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> (I) in which R is optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted aryl, or is a grouping of the formula <IMAGE> wherein X is halogen Y is hydrogen or halogen, R4 and R5 are identical or different and are alkyl, R6 is alkyl, halogenoalkyl with more than 2 carbon atoms, alkynyl, alkenyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted aryl, optionally substituted aryloxy, optionally substituted arylthio or the grouping R7-O-N=CH- in which R7 is alkyl, alkenyl or optionally substituted benzyl, and m is the number 0, 1 or 2, R1, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen, methyl or chlorine, n is the number 1 or 2 and Z is a nitrogen atom or the CH group and their acid addition salts and metal salt complexes are very effective as fungicides.
