PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a cell by fitting an insulating ring on the outside of the caulking section of the opening section of the cell with a positive electrode made of metal and outer-packaging the dry cell with a resin film or a resin tube. CONSTITUTION:The positive electrode terminal of a dry cell is a cell case 1 made of metal, the negative electrode terminal is a bottom face 7. The periphery of the negative electrode terminal is caulked and held by the cell case 1 via an insulating seal gasket 6. An insulating ring 9 is fitted to the outside of a seal caulking section. The outer periphery of a sealed element cell is outer- packaged with a shrink label or a shrink tube 8. Even when peeling or damage occurs on an outer package film or an outer package tube, insulation is maintained between the cell case 1 and the bottom face 7, i.e., between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, by the insulating ring 9. The rupture or leakage caused by the external short circuit is prevented, and the reliability of the cell is improved. |
