PURPOSE:To improve productivity by a method wherein a formed positive electrode plate is washed in water with a low oxygen concentration. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode plate after being formed is washed in water whose oxygen concentration is low. To eliminate dissolved oxygen from water easily, for example, nitrogen gas or the like is bubbled in the water, and the oxygen concentration after bubbling can be reduced to approximately 1/10 of the concentration before bubbling. This prevents the voltage characteristics from dropping even if the positive electrode plate is washed in high temperature water. Since the plate can be washed in high temperature water, the time for washing can be reduced and the productivity is improved. |
