PURPOSE:To recognize a character accurately by applying arithmetic processing to a noise picture data resulting from a flaw or dirt of a display section and a character picture data fetched when the display section displays a character and eliminating the noise picture data. CONSTITUTION:An image sensor control section 22 allows an image sensor 21 to scan the display section before the display section displays a character and is displaying the character. The picture data fetched by the scan of the image sensor 21 before the display section displays the character is stored in a 1st storage section 24 as a noise picture data and the picture data fetched by the scan of the image sensor 21 when the display section is displaying the character is stored in a 2nd storage section 25 as the character picture data. The arithmetic section 26 eliminates the noise picture data from the character picture data and outputs the picture data for character recognition. |
