POSITION CORRECTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To realize highly accurate positioning by recognizing a pattern for each narrow partial viewfield to the entire positioning range of a positioning device and obtaining the entire position correction value for position correction. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 6 having an art work 7 drawn at a correct position to a positioning hole 5 or a positioning reference surface is prepared. Then the work 7 is partially detected, recognized and calculated in a narrow viewfield compared with the positioning range of a positioning device for acquisition of the position correction value. This detecting position is successively moved for each part. Thus the positioning device can correct each position with high accuracy and the positioning accuracy is improved. At the same time, the coordinate systems of plural positioning devices can be unified and also the positioning data are used in common among these positioning devices with high accuracy. Thus labor saving and automation are promoted for manufacturing and checking processes.
