The present invention covers materials for a snow drift barrier the characteristic of which is that, to optimize the air flow and increase the storage capacity for snow, the material has a system of holes of different sizes, wider towards the bottom and increasingly small towards the top of the barrier, but also, when the material is dense or blocked at a certain level, a zone placed above having larger holes. The present invention also covers an assembly of strips of two or more materials allowing a variation in the size of the holes to be obtained, and even their discontinuance over a certain height of the barrier, and, moreover, strips, laths or sheets of materials placed at a certain height and at a certain level of the snow drift barriers to discontinue their holes locally or to reduce their size. <IMAGE>
