PURPOSE:To make the stream of passengers smooth on a lobby floor and to restrain elevators from uselessly running, by providing a waiting passenger number detecting means, a cage passenger number detecting means and a door opening and closing control means. CONSTITUTION:The number of waiting passengers in a hall on a bobby floor is detected by using waiting passenger sensors 3a through 3d of laser, ultrasonic type or the like, and the number of passengers in a cage is detected by using a load detecting device in the cage. Further, during the cage stopping at the lobby floor, the number of passengers in the cage and the allowable number of boarding passengers are calculated from the load of the service elevator, and accordingly, a computer compares the number of waiting passengers with the allowable number so as to determine whether all waiting passengers can board the service elevator or not. Further, if it is estimated that passenger leaving out of boarding are present, a door opening instruction is issued to another waiting elevator. Accordingly, the waiting elevator opens its doors to cope with the waiting passengers. |
