PURPOSE:To convert a generated higher harmonic to parallel rays and to emit them by working the emitting surface of a waveguide type non-linear optical element to a convex cylindrical lens shape whose curvature is varied. CONSTITUTION:The emitting end face of a waveguide type non-linear optical element 101 is worked to a convex cylindrical lens shape. An angle of the emitting surface 107 is worked vertically against an emitted light beam so that the optical path of the parallel ray side is not curved, and as for the end face 107 of this convex cylindrical lens, its curvature is different by the incident position of a light beam. Its curvature is varied continuously so that the focus is aligned with a waveguide formed on the waveguide type non-linear optical element 101. In such a way, by using the convex cylindrical lens, only one divergent light is converted to parallel rays, the other parallel rays are reserved as they are, and even if the light emitting point is shifted, a light beam can all be converted to parallel rays. |
