The present invention relates to pneumatic transportation installations, particularly for the removal by suction of waste produced by a plurality of machines or of particles originating from a plurality of stations including a collector to which are connected the primary pipes ending at the various machines. According to the invention, the primary pipes 2 are connected to one or more connection chambers 1 in communication with the collector 3, placed below the said chambers 1, via one or more interconnection orifices 7, the cross section of the collector 3 at a point of its length being substantially equal to the sum of the sections of the interconnection orifices 7 located upstream. The invention ensures great flexibility in the positions of the attachments of the primary pipes and hence in the installation of the machines served. <IMAGE>
