PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet having high flexibility, high elastic recovery, high heat insulating property, high fire resistance, and superior blanking workability by flowing, for example, a slurry contg. inorganic fibers dispersed in a soln. of a silicone resin on a net and screening the slurry under a specified condition, and then drying after removing the liquid. CONSTITUTION:If necessary, filler (e.g., silica powder), preservative, etc., are added to, for example, a soln. of 2-8wt.% silicone resin (e.g., emulsified resin of dimethyl silicone), then, at least one kind of inorganic fiber selected from ceramic fiber, rock wool, slag wool, and glass fiber, having 3-20mm mean fiber length and 2-20mu fiber diameter is dispersed in the soln. to obtain 0.3-4.0% concn. of the inorganic fiber. The slurry is then flowed on a net and screened, and the liquid is removed by sucking with reduced pressure. The product is further dried in a hot air drier to obtain the title sheet consisting of 85-97wt.% inorganic fiber and having 80-97% voids, using thereby 3-15wt.% silicone resin as binder. |
