<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title compounds useful as a silane coupling agent and high polymer modifying agent for graft polymerization in high yield, by reacting 1,3-butadiene with a trialkoxysilane in the presence of a ruthenium complex catalyst. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1,3-Butadiene is reacted with (B) a trialkoxysilane expressed by the formula HSi(OR3) [R is 1-12C alkyl, aryl, such as naphthyl, or aralkyl, such as benzyl] (e.g., trimethoxysilane)] in the presence of (C) a ruthenium complex (preferably having a valence of 0, 2, 3 or 4; anionic ligand is halogen, etc.; neutral ligand is preferably phosphorus-containing ligand), preferably at 5:1 molar ratio of the components (A) to (B), preferably at 50-150 deg.C tempera ture under ordinary pressure or higher pressure for 1-48hr to afford the aimed compounds. Furthermore, the component (C) is used in an amount of about 10<-6>-10<-2>mol based on 1mol. component (A).</p> |
