PURPOSE:To continuously control the density of a green sheet and to stabilize its contraction at the time of baking by calculating a crude density from the measured values of the areal density and thickness of the sheet in a press line, comparing it for its calculation with a set crude density, and calculating a necessary applied pressure from their deviation thereby to control to feed it back to its pressing pressure. CONSTITUTION:A green sheet 1 is intermittently fed at one surface to be pressurized by an intermittent feeder 15. A fluorescent X-ray densimeter 11 and a laser thickness gauge 12 are mounted in space corresponding to one stroke to measure at the same point of each one surface to be pressurized. In this press line, the areal density of the sheet 1 measured by the densimeter 11 and the thickness measured by the gauge 12 are input to a crude density calculator 18 which calculates the crude density. This value is input to a crude density controller 13, compared to be calculated with a set crude density thereby to output a necessary applying pressure, and the pressure of a press 17 is controlled by a pressure controlled to a suitable value. |
