<p>PURPOSE:To make the display screen of the device flat and to increase the degree of freedom of the design of the device by allowing a photosensor part to detect the brightness of light which is guided in from an operator side through a display device part by touching part of the display screen of the display device part and recognizing the touched coordinates. CONSTITUTION:This input device consists of the light-transmissive display device part 10 of liquid crystal, etc., the photosensor part 12 where photosensor elements 11 are arrayed in two dimensions, and a housing 13 which holds them. When the operator touches a specific part according to the display contents of the display device part 10, only the photosensor element 11 arranged at the specific part of the photosensor part 12 detects light being dimmed. It is therefore judged that the coordinates where the photosensor element 11 detecting a decrease in the quantity of photodetector are the coordinates of the touch input. Consequently, the display surface of the display device part is made flat.</p> |
