A sintered metal boride ceramic body consists essentially of a metal boride matrix which consists essentially of MB or MB2 and TiC in the form of mixed crystals and/or solid solutions, and TiB2 particles which are present in the metal boride matrix in separated (isolated) form, with M denoting a metal such as nickel and chromium.
