The invention relates to a thermoplastic film based on polyvinyl chloride and containing calcium carbonate and optionally stabilisers, plasticisers, pigments and other conventional additives. This film is an individual film having a thickness of from 0.04 mm to 0.8 mm which contains hydrophobicised calcium carbonate. It is economical to produce and suitable, in particular, for the lamination of chipboard and synthetic fibre board, where it is distinguished by notable stability.
