A rotary vane vacuum pump (1) including at least two pump stages (3, 4) which with their shafts (2) are disposed horizontally one above the other, each of said pump stages having a housing in which an eccentrically disposed rotor with vane plates movable in radial slits is rotatable in such a manner that pumpage is created by varying chamber volumes, the inlet of the second stage (4) being connected to the outlet of the first stage (3) and the pump stages being detachably secured to a carrying member independently of each other, characterized in that the carrying member takes the form of a carrying plate (5) on both sides of which in each case at least one pump stage (3, 4) is secured. |
