<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of the processing sequence between rule groups by providing respectively a priority level value at respective rule groups to process an intermediate result and controlling the starting sequence of the processing by the rule groups in accordance with the sequence specified by the priority level value. CONSTITUTION:An inference mechanism 12 executes the inference processing by the necessary rule group 11 of a knowledge base 10 and obtains an intermediate result 13. Then, the inference mechanism 12 requests a priority control mechanism 14, receives the designation of the rule group 11 to be processed and conveys the rule group designation information obtained after the inference processing to the priority control mechanism 14. The priority control mechanism 14 manages the designation of the rule group to be processed in accordance with the priority level of respective rule groups by the rule group designation information received from the inference mechanism 12, the designation request of the rule group to be processed next is executed from the inference mechanism 12 and then, the first priority rule group specified by the value of the priority level is retrieved and designated. Thus, the processing sequence between rule groups can be easily controlled.</p> |
