<p>PURPOSE:To automatize a washing process and obtain a high and stable washing degree by providing a nozzle for feeding a washing liquid and compressed air and a brush for removing deposited dust, on the workpiece installing face of a grinding machine. CONSTITUTION:After finishing machining, first, a washing liquid is sprayed on a workpiece installing reference face 11 by means of a movable nozzle 17 to wash away dust such as polishing powder, etc., which is lightly deposited due to the surface tension of an abrasive liquid or together with an agent such as the oil content in the abrasive liquid, etc., on the surface thereof. After that, the component of agent of the abrasive liquid or dust stickingly deposited thereto which cannot be washed away by the washing liquid is forcedly scraped out by a rotary brush 18 and allowed to flow out together with the washing liquid and further, these washing liquid and dust are blown off by means of compressed air which is blown out of the movable nozzle 17. These operations are carried out by controlling the opening/closing of a washing liquid/ compressed air feed valve, the position of the movable nozzle 17, the position of the rotary brush 18, and the drive and timing of these by a microcomputer, to obtain a higher and more stable washing degree than that obtained by a manual operation.</p> |
