PURPOSE:To make close to an ideal low pass filter, to make data interpolation close to original data and to remove a false pattern (moire fringe) by using the interpolation function close to a sinc function. CONSTITUTION:A data interpolation matrix is equipped in which the pitch of respective interpolation coefficients is 1/2 of a data sampling period and the size is 7+(n-1)X8 or 9+(n-1)X8 (provided that n=1, 2, 3...). The interpolation coefficient is made into the one in which the central coefficient value is '1', the sum of the remaining coefficient is '1' and the ratio of the remaining coefficient is approximately equal to the ratio of the sinc function. Thus, the data interpolation method is obtained in which the deterioration of the interpolation data is small and the false pattern (moire fringe) to occur at the time of reading a picture can be removed. |
