<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove halogen from gas, by bringing halogen into contact with tetrathiafulvalene. CONSTITUTION:The halogen is adsorbed and removed by bringing the gas contg. halogen such as radioactive iodine, chlorine, bromine, into contact with tetrathiafulvalene. The tetrathiafulvalene may be either powder or crystalline and may be coated on the surface of carrier. Tetrathiafulvalene has higher capturing and retentive ability of halogen than activated carbon and can remove halogen from gas more efficiently.</p> |
