The modulo-10 counter according to the subject of the invention is a modulo-10 counter for both counting directions. On the one hand, it is very simple, and on the other hand, it can only be used in those cases in which no switching from one counting direction to the other is required. On switching from forwards to backwards and from backwards to forwards, the counter state is lost. A decade of this forwards-backwards counter consists of a forwards counting decade according to P 3743384.9 and a supplementary circuit which is shown in Figure 2. All decades must be provided with a supplementary circuit according to Figure 2. <IMAGE>
