PURPOSE:To increase safety and to effectively suppress a hemolysis phenomenon to occur in case of reserving blood by using the unsaturated linear hydrocarbon compound, having double-bond, of the number of the carbon atoms of a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A hemolysis preventing agent has at least one double-bond and is composed of the unsaturated linear hydrocarbon compound in which the number of the carbon atoms is 8 or above and 40 or below. The unsaturated linear hydrocarbon compound is selected from the group composed of, for example, 7-tetradecene, 8-octadecane, 9-eicosane and squalene. The hemolysis preventing agent is used by being compounded in a synthetic resin compound, or added directly into an erythrocyte containing solution or added into the erythrocyte containing solution at the mode of emulsion. |
