The combustion-air and waste-gas duct of a burner-heated appliance are connected to a connection box (3) and extend coaxially into this connection box (3), the combustion-air duct (8) encasing the waste-gas duct (7). The waste-gas duct (7) passes through the connection box (3) leaktightly and opens directly into the chimney (2) of the chimney wall (1) to which the connection box (3) is fixed.
