Microwave cooking hob

Microwave cooking hob both as an individual cooking point and as a cooking area arrangement, consisting of a microwave energy source (1, 30) and a horn radiator (2, 31). The horn radiator (2, 31) radiates the microwave energy towards the cooking hob in a pinpoint fashion. An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterised in that the microwave cooking pot (34) is seated on the horn radiator cover plate (3), which consists of a cover segment (32) which is transparent to microwaves and of an edge segment (33) which is leakproof with respect to microwaves, and that the cover (35) of the microwave cooking pot (34) which is leakproof with respect to microwaves is led up to the edge segment (33) which is leakproof with respect to microwaves, with the result that horn radiator (31) and microwave cooking pot (34) are connected in a fashion which is leakproof with respect to microwaves. <IMAGE>
