<p>Pavement marking (I) comprises ceramic microspheres (II) held by a binder (III), (II) being solid transparent non-vitreous microspheres with at least one crystalline phase comprising at least one metal oxide other than TiO2 (although a small amt. of this may be present), and having particle size up to 125 microns. A similar compsn. is also claimed, in which the microspheres are of fully dense silica, up to 125 microns. Coating compsns. having these constitutions are also claimed. Pref. the binder consists of paint or thermoplastic resin.</p> |
