PURPOSE:To reduce the length of a shaft by fitting a ring member having elastic action between the inner peripheral surface of a clutch outer and the outer peripheral surface of an annular projecting portion of an output shaft, and colliding the ring member with the annular projecting portion to function as a pinion stopper. CONSTITUTION:A helical spline 21a is formed on the outer peripheral surface of an output rotation shaft 21 connected to an armature rotating shaft of an electric motor, and a helical spline 22a of an overrunning clutch 22 is engaged therewith. A clutch outer 22b of a clutch 22 is connected to a clutch inner 22c formed integral with a pinion driving shaft 24 through a roller 23, and a pinion 25 is provided on the front end of the driving shaft 24. An annular projecting portion 26 is formed on the output shaft 21, and a ring member 27 having spring property in order to get over the annular projecting portion 26 is fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the output shaft 21 between the outer peripheral surface of the annular projecting portion 26 and the inner peripheral surface of the clutch outer 22b. The member 27 is fixed to the inner peripheral portion of the clutch outer 22b by welding or the like. |
