An electro-acoustical transducer with balanced armature containing a pole piece 10, which is formed from a stack of strips, and which provides an opening or a tunnel 9, in which the vibrating end 20 of a leaf armature 16, 17, 18 can vibrate between a pair of permanent magnets 11, 12. A coil 22 surrounds the centre leg 18 of the armature, and the two outer legs 16, 17 which form the fixed ends of the armature are arranged on planar surfaces of a pair of wings 13, which are formed by the pole piece itself, and are arranged in exactly the same plane as the vibrating tip 20 of the armature and exactly in the centre of the air gap between the magnets. The armature 36 is made from a plane band, and its fixed ends are arranged on an anvil 33, whose top 37 lies in exactly the same plane as passes through the centre of the air gap between the magnets 34, 35. In this way, one achieves a balanced armature transducer with a centrally arranged leaf, and which is easy to produce. <IMAGE>
